WHY VANGUARD AWARDS
Intrapreneurs have emerged as important drivers of innovation within organizations. Some have recognized this, and nurtured employee led ideation and innovation either formally or organically. But these are few and far between. Unfold’s Vanguard Awards champions trailblazers and social innovators, so that more companies and leaders are inspired to unlock potential. The Vanguard awards program has been designed to recognize, reward and motivate intrapreneurial effort with the strong belief that celebrating, and championing role models will inspire more organizations and leaders to tread this path. The Vanguard Awards is a pioneering, one of its kind, cross industry recognition program focused on Intrapreneurship in multiple forms.
VANGUARD AWARDS EDITION 1
Winners of Edition 1 of Vanguard Awards were felicitated at a ceremony as part of Unfold's Intrapreneurship Conclave Edition IV held on 7th and 8th of April 2022. Winners received trophies and certificates while winners, runners up and special mentions received e-certificates and gifts from our gifting partners Astu Eco, EFGH Foods and Urban Unwind.
VANGUARD AWARDS EDITION II
The first year witnessed participation from large marquee brands such as TATA group companies like TITAN and TATA ELXSI, apart from Accenture, SAP, HPe, SAMSUNG R&D etc. The first edition focused on mid-large size companies, within the Information Technology (Services and Products), Engineering and Hi-Tech domains. Backing on the success of Edition one, the awards have been extended to more industry categories and will cover smaller organizations and startups incubated under Corporate Accelerator programs.

The Intrapreneurial Practice Award seeks to recognize organizations that have a formal framework, set of practices and a governance model to encourage intrapreneurship among their employees.
This is an Organization Award with each organization entitled to nominate one person. There will be 2-4 awards in each sub-category based on the size of the organization depending on whether they belong to the large-scale or mid-size categories.
Nomination to be filled in by a company representative/sponsor preferably from the internal innovation team.
Target:
Mid and largescale organizations across identified industries.
A clearly defined program with a set of rules, participation criteria, end result, time frame.
Program to have been in place for atleast 2 cycles.
Locally defined oversight and a governance model.
Clear evidence of throughput i.e. employees having participated with clear outcomes being met.

The Star Intrapreneur award seeks to recognize individuals or small teams who have experienced the entire gamut of the intrapreneurial journey - from idea generation to an actionable outcome
Individual award
Target 2-4 awards
Nomination to be filed by by individual intrapreneur; Shortlisted nominees to be validated by respective organizations
Target:
All organizations from the identified industry set with min 100 employees,
Individual or small team (not more than 5 core members).
Idea should have been generated by one of the core team members.
Should have resulted in a viable product/ service/Clear enhancement which is operational today (within or outside the parent organization).
Focus on the journey of the intrapreneur and the competencies displayed.
Spotlight on diverse and inclusive teams.
Intrapreneurship journey to have been completed within the last 3 years.
The Breakthrough Idea Business Impact award seeks to celebrate ideas that have the potential to impact the business across multiple dimensions
Individual Award
Target: 3-5 awards
Max 3 nominations per organization
Nominations to be filed by a company representative/ sponsor
Target:
Organizations of any size and maturity across industry segments.
Open to start-ups incubated in corporate accelerator programs.
Individual or small team (not more than 5 core members).
Ideas could fall into several categories: Technology Enabled, Impact on Business Models, Cost optimization, Customer experience, Process Improvement etc.
Idea could be at various stages of implementation.
Idea to have an impact on populations/ businesses in India.
The Breakthrough Idea Social Impact award seeks to celebrate ideas that have immense potential for impact in specific areas:
Individual Award
Aligned to UN SDG
Target: 3-5 awards
Max 3 nominations per organisation
Nominations to be filed by a company representative/ sponsor
Target:
Organizations of any size and maturity across industry segments.
Also open to start-ups incubated in corporate accelerator programs.
Individual or small team (not more than 5 core members).
Idea should be aligned to one or more of the UN Sustainability and development goals.
Idea could be at various stages of implementation.
Idea to have an impact on populations/ businesses in India.
